The long promised Kiriban for my dear friend Kabuki.

I took on her challenge which was to use her yagoda pagoda characters and design an advertisement.

I found some cool Victorian Ads that I based this on and did it all in colored pencil.

Wow, I've never even thought of these characters in that size/style. I have no idea what I was expecting, but you blew whatever nebulous idea I had out of the water. I love it! Boika looks so cute and sweet.

It took me a moment to recognize her, since I've grown so used to them in the chibi style. It definitely works, and gives a whole new spin on her characters with just one pic. Careful, she might be compelled to commission all of them in this style now! :D

It is very elegant in its simplicity of design. :thumbsup:
